About

For actions unbecoming a SWAT officer, Alex Conrad is suspended for 30 days. Rather than stay in Toronto and sulk, she decides to go home to Miner's Cove and spend some quiet recovery time in a sleepy maritime community where nothing ever happens. After being away for three years her only perceived danger was coming back and reconciling with her father. While working as a volunteer for the local police force in Miner's Cove she picked a murder case that nobody on the force cared about. It is then that she discovered clues to an ancient Aztec treasure hidden deep in the abandoned coal mine under the city. She teams up with a mysterious and handsome young man from Mexico who is visiting Miner's Cove to supposedly investigate drug smuggling routes. A trip to Mexico solves many mysterious clues found in the mines. After returning to Miner's Cove she ventures deep into the old and deadly mine shaft in search of the Aztec Treasure. She soon discovers she is not the only one after the treasure and for those people, murder is not a deterrent. Allan E. Petersen, now lives in Vancouver, Canada. Retired, he dedicates his time to a lifelong passion of writing. The two subjects that command his attention are: the mysteries that are hidden within our genetic code and contemporary interpretations of biblical writings. He has combined these two interests in his latest series of books -The House of the Nazarene- the first of which is 'An Angel in the Shadows.'
