Harmandir Sahib Sikh Temple

Constructed between 1588 and 1601, the Harmandir Sahib Sikh Temple in Amritsar, India, is one of the oldest places of worship for Sikhs. The building is often called the Golden Temple because of its gold-covered exterior. A large pool of water called a sarovar surrounds the shrine.
