Carla Morris has worked hard to become the top of her class. You don't get to the top five without some sacrifices. Her goals of academic excellence have left her wanting in the social department. After a particularly hard day, Carla is confronted by the head antagonist of everyone in her school, Jason, and his friends. Backed into a corner, literally, Carla discovers something that changes her world: a portal. In this new world, people can transform into animals of legend and wield powers of the elements. She meets new friends who respect her, which is a new feeling, and leaders who watch after her. She also makes new enemies while having to keep up with the old. In the new world, Zedthra, she begins training alongside the other kids her age. Swordsmanship, battle techniques, and training in the elements begins to fill her afternoons after school.
