And she never planned to choose between two lives.
When Evelyn Whitmore returns to her family's vineyard in the English countryside, it's meant to be temporary, a brief escape from her high-powered London career and a chance to help with the harvest. Birchwood is familiar, beautiful, and safe… or so she thinks. What she doesn't anticipate is how quickly the rhythms of the land awaken something she thought she'd outgrown.
Ethan Blackwood has spent his life among the vines. Quietly capable and deeply rooted, he doesn't chase attention or ambition, he builds things that last. Evelyn's return brings more than memories; it brings possibility, tension, and feelings neither of them are prepared to ignore.
As harvest celebrations turn chaotic, family expectations close in, and a figure from Evelyn's city past resurfaces, she's forced to confront a truth she's been avoiding: the future she planned may no longer be the one she wants. Choosing love means choosing courage, and risking everything she thought defined her.
Set against sun-drenched vineyards, crisp spring mornings, and golden sunsets, this is a heartfelt contemporary romance about home, belonging, and the brave decision to follow your heart where it leads.
A heartwarming novella, perfect for a cosy afternoon read.
