About

The story evolves in the greater Zurich area (city in Switzerland) and is divided into two parts, set in the years 2049 and 2065.

The story takes place in the setting of a modern, European city in the year 2049. The book describes the new circumstances regarding technology, politics, society, and the natural environment. This from the perspective of a thirty-year-old woman named Killari, who moved from the Peruvian Andes to distant Europe for work twelve years ago. In the new modern era, in which society is divided into urban skilled workers, discarded rural residents - so-called "Normalos" - and elite owners of large corporations, artificial intelligence emerges as a core element who secretly rises to become the new ruler of the world. The gigantic software encounters Killari in virtual form, where it tells the young lady many unpleasant truths. Ultimately, AI tries to save life on earth, whereby humanity - which has finally screwed up - must endure drastic measures.

By the beginning of the second part of the story in 2065, AI has managed to restore nature, eliminate poverty and violent conflict, and provide survivors of the necessary "corrective measures" with a life free from financial worries and work obligations. In the new world, people have many real and virtual leisure activities to choose from and are granted travel to different models of society scattered across the globe. After a family vacation in the solar system, which Killari enjoys with her partner and their children, she travels to a research station on Mars, whereupon the story takes an astonishing turn...
