Kidnapped! With no cameras recording the act, someone takes away a newborn from the hospital. By whom? And why? Distraught, the baby girl's father, Dr. Ben Dailey, a police surgeon, and his wife struggle to retrieve their daughter, hopefully alive and well.
Gradually, they and Homicide Lieutenant Sennett uncover details to piece together the likely scenario. The child's DNA-and its link to a well-known figure-is central to the kidnapping. Will the three identify the culprit,or culprits, in time to save the baby?
Gene Rontal's fast-paced A Minor Operation twists and turns as the mystery unravels with bumps, dead ends, and surprises along the way.
