Gives Violin Lessons is a series of conversations between myself and various students, only one of whom seems to be as dumb as a red brick. So far, the feedback from most readers has been that they find the book far too scary to finish; not scary in a horror film sort of way, but in a "it makes me look at myself" sort of way. However, contrary to the predominant feedback, I frequently laughed out-loud whilst reading this book - and so did Khanastenabulat. Come to think of it, Jack's dad told me that he found the book to be hilarious!
