Zara Grows Up is a warm children's story about patience and the small daily lessons that help a child mature.
Zara wants to be big right away. She wants to pour milk, put on shoes, go first, and make her seed grow immediately. But rushing causes spills, broken crayons, muddy clothes, and a seed nearly lost down the drain. With help from her family, teacher, and friends, Zara learns that growing up does not mean doing everything first or doing everything alone. Sometimes it means slowing down, listening, trying carefully, and waiting for the right time.
