Artist, Activist, & Author may be how Nerak Coven is currently branding herself. But a mother to many, educator and 24/7 carer is at the foundation of who she really is. Raised in the Top End of Australia with its rural isolation and the tropical seasonal extremes. Her stories and pictures are shaped by her own lived experience, and desire to share the diversity of the Northern Territory. Wanting to inspire classroom discussions, from which all the children who connect with her story will feel compelled to participate and share their own experiences. Because only with communication can connections and community grow.
