If children need to believe that they truly matter, then teaching them positive self-talk is crucial because words have great power. What they say is what they feel, what they feel is how they will behave and how they behave is what they will become. "You unique little thing" is a book for kids to help them embrace their uniqueness and strengths. Each character in this book cherishes their talents, also while learning to be kind, determined and empathetic. It shows them to pursue their dreams despite failures and obstacles they may face in life.
We need to show children it takes multiple factors such as consistency, faith, passion, hard work etc., to realize their dreams.. Children cannot avoid comparison, failures or self-doubt in life. But through a growth mindset and a positive self-image we can teach them how to handle hurdles as they are presented with them.
