Better Than the Movies meets Beach Read in this young adult rom-com about a girl whose heartbreak pact with her crush's brother turns into something she never expected.
Andie's had a hard year. With her parents recently-and very much not amicably-divorced, it will only be her and her mom heading to their lake house for the summer. But all spring long, Andie's held on to one thing that's getting her through: the idea that this will finally be the summer she and her long-time, will-they-won't-they crush Patrick get their timing right.
But when Patrick arrives at their lakeside community with his girlfriend in tow, the summer takes on a much different tone. Instead of a summer of love, it's a summer of carrying around a broken heart. In a surprise twist, Patrick's brother Tommy is the one who helps Andie get through parties and beach days of seeing Patrick cozying up to his new girlfriend, making her wonder: which brother is really the right one for her?
