This book is intended for anyone, both poetry and non-poetry enthusiasts alike. It can be used as an accompaniment to journaling sessions, within therapy sessions with clients, or simply for personal reading and enjoyment. There are five categories in this book: Wounded Child, Bitter Pill, The Gift of Life, Love, and Goodbye Is Not Goodbye. The reader is invited to embark on a journey that conveys the impact of a wounded child experiencing life and love. The pieces are raw and poignant, touching on themes of suicide, ambivalence, and maladaptive behaviors. It is my hope that readers gain a trauma-informed understanding of what others may be experiencing and/or find an empathetic witness to their own suffering and pain.
