Here are 10 classic redwork designs, inspired by those darling children's illustrations from the 1940's and 50's. Designs include: gardening, ironing, sewing, wash a dish, along came a spider, fishing, jumping rope, driving a pedal car on the sidewalk, rocking baby, and roller skating. Each fun design uses one or two easy embroidery stitches. The complete instructions show you how to enlarge or reduce the designs, stitch the designs on cotton fabric, then tea or coffee dye the completed piece for an authentic folk-art look.
