In March 1999, eight years after starting my own grant-writing, training and publishing firm for non-profits, I was driving to catch a flight to meet an important client. When I started my business, I had a spiritual yearning I wasn't fully realizing. I was running on a treadmill and the only things getting thinner were my patience, love, kindness and every other virtue God granted me through Christ.
