About

Savannah, Georgia, 1864. During the height of the Civil War and one of the bloodies locations, a surgeon works tirelessly in a hospital known as the Marshall House. His self-control quickly slips away, revealing a repressed inner monster as he viciously slices an injured soldier's neck, and he hungrily feeds on the blood.
The sound of a radio alarm quickly awakens our surgeon, Brayden. It is now the current day of this current life. Date of birth unknown. Date of death, too many to count. Number of lives lived, too many to recall.
Riley, a young and attractive attorney in modern day Savannah, labors every day to protect and sustain historic and beautiful buildings throughout the city. Her drive and determination have made her an integral part of her firm. As she runs through a city park, she passes by artists selling their paintings on the sidewalk. One in particular catches her eye. She chats with the artist about the beautiful house painted on the canvas. He warned Riley to not go to the house, but somehow, she becomes inexplicably drawn to it. She gets a slight glimpse of the darker, more sinister side of the city she has worked so hard to preserve.
Brayden, a mysterious man with a bloody history spanning hundreds of years, becomes the focus of Riley's fasciation and desire. As he becomes aware of who he really is, their relationship evolves. Through a series of flashbacks to previous lives, Brayden understands more and more about his true self and why he is as he is.
Through research and sexual exploration, both Riley and Brayden discover more about themselves and each other. As Brayden's existence as a vampire comes into light, his past lives, particularly that of his life as a surgeon in the Civil War, consume his dreams, as he desperately seeks answers to questions of his true nature, how is this possible? Who is he? What is he? Could this be the answer to his rage?
Upon awakening from one of the many flashbacks, a scene of him as a child from long ago reveals a mysterious book that could hold all the answers to the questions he seeks. The painting with the plantation home Riley bought from a street vendor holds the key to its location. Buried under an old oak tree lies the answers he hopes to find. He is determined to uncover this book and unlock its secrets. Only one problem stands in his way, the book was written in several ancient languages. All of which he knew many lives ago, but is still locked in his forbidden memory.
As Brayden learns more about his life as a vampire, and as he falls more in love with Riley, he tells her everything he knows. This revelation is hard to swallow for Riley as she questions the sanity of her lover. She trusts him, but this information frightens yet intrigues her. Riley has never been drawn so strongly to a person before that her curiosity develops into understanding. The struggle of Riley wanting to understand and love the man who she sees, and his combat to control the monster desperately trying to escape, attempts to destroy their love for one another. Could the man she has grown to love, the object of her deep sexual desire, really be a vampire, or could he just be insane?
