About

He didn't have a plan, a fortune, or a seminary degree. He had a hammer, a past he couldn't outrun, and a woman who believed people were worth showing up for.
Bill Hutson spent years carrying the weight of choices he couldn't undo. That weight cost him relationships, and for a long time it cost him his son. Then a cup of coffee with a woman named Pam changed the direction of his life. Together they started Table Talk Ministries, beginning with a few repairs around Greencastle, Indiana. It grew into a ministry that built wheelchair ramps, patched roofs, and rebuilt sagging porches for people who had stopped believing anyone would come. Later, the work followed them to Galveston Island, Texas.
With Only A Hammer is not a story about a man who got everything right. It is an honest, often funny, and deeply human account of a man learning that guilt can be put to work, that mercy has roots, and that sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for someone is fix what's broken and sit down at their table.
It's for anyone who has wondered whether their past disqualifies them, anyone looking for a way to serve with the ordinary skills they already have, and anyone who needs proof that it's never too late to become someone new.
You don't need to have it all together to make a difference. Sometimes all you need is a hammer.
