I never thought losing my job as Burlington, Vermont's most accurate meteorologist and finding out I have air elemental powers would lead to murder, but here I am, conjuring miniature tornadoes in the park with my friend's aunt while my familiar, Clove-my snowshoe hare with severe separation anxiety issues-digs everything out of my purse, including my wallet, to come with me wherever I go. At least my spice witch roommate keeps our apartment smelling like cinnamon and chocolate, even if her involvement in the local catering scene has pulled me into a deadly mystery involving back-stabbing personal chefs and their issues over fresh produce. Between mastering my emotional-induced weather outbursts and falling for Theo, the grumpy black bear shifter who keeps bringing scones and other treats to my house, I'm barely keeping it together. But when a body turns up at in our kitchen during a party announcing our new catering business, with police accusing me of murder by association, I know I need to solve this case fast-before I become the next victim in Burlington's supernatural culinary underworld.
