It's the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Harmony Grove! All the citizens have turned out for the festive event. The aroma of hot chocolate and donuts fill the air, the sounds of Christmas music entertains the crowd and everyone enjoys the Christmas cantata hosted by the local Baptist Church. Naomi, Winston, and Daisy join Jolene as she works the table with refreshments. Even Chief Reed has joined in the festivities as a participant and not in a law enforcement capacity. Things are looking up for Naomi as she enjoys her first Christmas back in Harmony Grove with her two faithful dog-friends. Everything is going swimmingly until someone murders Santa Claus. And the recently fired Santa Claus is in the crosshairs for who did it. Naomi and Winston involve themselves in solving the mystery so the old man doesn't get blamed for something he couldn't have done. And the clock is ticking. There's only so long that the chief of police can hold everyone at the festival for questioning before the murderer has a chance to slip away. The short 11k holiday story set in the southern, small town of Naomi & Winston Mysteries, Winston's First Christmas is a heartwarming story defining what family is all about. It contains no adult situations or gore, only fun and high jinks as the heroine solves mysteries and chases behind her perpetually confused, endearingly curious, and continuously chatty Chihuahua. This story has a light paranormal element.
