College recruitment can be very messy, and many conversations go on behind closed doors that students and families never learn about. Student-athletes are not recruited to play a sport; they are recruited to fill a role. One coach may see a recruit as a major contributor to their conference championship aspirations, and another may see that same athlete as a glorified backup-an insurance policy if the athletes they are investing most of their energy in experience an injury.
Today's high school athlete is compiling an athletic resume to get invited for an "interview" for roles and jobs at colleges across the country. This book will help students assess where they are, where they want to go, and what it takes to get there.
This book is for those who are willing to do the work necessary to get the best out of their college recruitment. It's about getting your sports resume to the top of the pile for a "job" you are qualified for; and how to interview well once that phone call comes. College recruitment is a game; to win the college recruitment game you have to know the game. That's where David Robinson comes in.
David is the founder, CEO, and Director of Recruitment for Scholar Champion Athlete Recruiting. At the age of 24, he became one of the youngest head coaches in the entire NCAA. Distilling his experiences, he has written this book for the student and parent that wants to be recruited by the right school and attain the college experience they desire.
