The laws of Eldermoore are simple. Children who develop magic must learn to control it. For those like me? Well, the Obsidian Veil ensures we never will. And above all else- romantic relationships between the two are forbidden.
I'm Elodie O'Grady, 28 years old, a stickler for the rules, no powers, and a desire to help those who need it most. Opening a private investigation office with my twin sister, Rowan, was always part of the plan, but when a killer arrives in town, they leave more than bodies behind.
With each twisted riddle and clue we find, my team and I come closer to discovering the truth about Eldermoore's past. What I never expected was to find out about my own. And to solve this case in time, I may start to break more than a few rules.
