Numerous newspaper and magazine articles and now this riveting book, "We All Wore Blue", the true account of a youth soccer team in WA State team that transformed over several seasons into a team comprised largely of immigrants from around the globe, representing a myriad of different countries, most races and major religions. The story tells how these immigrant boys and families bonded with the middle-class white kids and their families, coming together and dealing with numerous challenges, great adversity and racism. Though they had little in common other than their love of the game, they became an extended family of sorts and learned to embrace one another and celebrate their differences on their path to winning two State Championships. A truly inspirational story that will surely be enjoyed by all; those who have played, coached or been involved with any youth sport and especially those who love the "beautiful game", soccer.
