Water baptism is a book meant for adults and children alike to understand what it means to be baptized through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Water baptism is a significant event to the journey of becoming a Christian. There are many ideas, teachings and misunderstandings about the meaning and purpose of water baptism. The author shares an in-depth teaching of baptism that aligns with the Scriptures and closely follows Jesus' teaching and example of being water baptized himself.
**There has been a need in the body of Christ for an easy to learn guide in understanding why and how we get baptized according to the Word of God, especially through the gospel of Jesus Christ.**
This book will help guide you according to what the Word of God says, so that on the day of your baptism, you can be fully confident in your decision.
The author has illustrated this book with vibrant colors and engaging cartoons to capture the mind of the reader, yet staying true to the Word of God and what it teaches. Every image has been thoughtfully created to enhance the understanding of the teaching. You will not only be found in a beautifully illustrated story, but you will be activated in the teaching by being prompted to look up specific Scriptures that will further verify the truth of the gospel message and what it means to be water and spirit baptized. The book follows the example of Jesus' baptism as the Scriptures teach us.
What prominent leaders in the church are saying about the author's book on water baptism:
Author Sarah Altizer's new book, "Water Baptism" is a timely book to help our children to understand the necessity of getting baptized. As a senior pastor for over forty years, I want the children of my church to understand not only why they need to be baptized but, what does baptism mean. Sarah's book communicates so well both of these points so that not only kids but, adults can understand the importance of being baptized. This is an excellent book for any church that is hungry to see their people following in the path of Jesus.
Dr. Nick Gough, MTS, D.Min Senior Pastor, The Branchnc
Sarah Altizer, has written an excellent explanation and guide for water baptism. This book beautifully illustrates and describes the journey one takes when choosing to follow Christ through participation in water baptism. The in-depth explanations and biblical sources create an effective and relatable resource for any parent, teacher, or Christian education program. Sarah obviously put lots of prayer, thought, and heart into this endeavor, and it clearly shows. I highly recommend this book for any and all who help young people grow in their faith.
Mark Cooper, MTheo, MDiv. Senior Pastor, Decatur Foursquare Gospel Church
