Victory & Power Over the System is the raw, unapologetic memoir of Sandra Marie Bailey-New Orleans Queen Sandy, a woman whose life has been shaped by family, adversity, faith, survival, and an unwavering determination to rise.
Growing up in New Orleans, Sandra witnessed a world filled with deep family loyalty, unforgettable personalities, violence, incarceration, addiction, hardship, and love. Her journey would eventually take her from the streets and struggles of her childhood into battles with the justice system, professional growth, motherhood, marriage, sobriety, and the pursuit of something greater for herself and her family.
Sandra does not tell her story from the perspective of someone who lived a perfect life. She tells it as someone who survived, learned, changed, and kept building.
At its heart, Victory & Power Over the System is about breaking destructive cycles without forgetting where you came from. It is about transforming pain into purpose, struggle into experience, and survival into legacy.
Bold, emotional, humorous, spiritual, and told in Sandra's unmistakably authentic voice, this memoir is for readers who understand that your circumstances may shape your beginning-but they do not have to determine how your story ends.
This is Sandra's truth.
This is her journey.
This is her victory.
