Are you carrying a heavy burden of doubts, fears, anxiety, or depression? Sometimes life hits hard-you might have lost a job, a loved one, or simply feel overwhelmed.
In Untie the Donkey, author Frances Simpson-a devout matriarch, preacher's daughter, and composer who found faith and wisdom through her own struggles with debilitating disease and constant pain-offers an enlightening new perspective on trusting God. This book will guide you toward laying your problems at the feet of Jesus and learning to "let God be God."
Simpson draws on profound biblical truths found in the most unexpected places: the stories of the humble donkey and other animals in scripture. Each chapter, rooted in a Bible passage, explores essential life lessons:
• The patience to wait for God's perfect timing, like the donkey that waited for Abraham and Isaac to return. • The radical power of forgiveness and reconciliation, seen in Joseph's use of donkeys to carry life-preserving gifts to his estranged family. • The crucial importance of obedience and speaking up for God, demonstrated when a donkey's voice saved a man's life.
From the ram caught in the bush to Samson's jawbone and the lost donkeys that led Saul to his destiny, these stories are designed to encourage your daily walk with Christ. Simpson proves that even the most seemingly insignificant details in scripture are filled with God's wisdom and unfailing love. Discover the strength, courage, and commitment waiting for you. Read Untie the Donkey, and please go and untie your donkey.
