Theo, alongside his wife Wilma, calls the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands in South Africa home. They have three children, Carissa, Milan, and Lucca. With a lifelong commitment to full-time church ministry, Theo now serves as the team leader at a contemplative community known as InVia in the Western Cape in South Africa. He is a part-time lecturer, actively involved in performing arts, a trained executive coach, and a facilitator for rites of passage across various life stages. His academic journey is marked by a D.Litt. et Phil from the University of Johannesburg and a PhD from Radboud University in Holland. He has also been involved in music for over four decades with a protest band called Prophet, and has garnered two South African Music Award nominations. Theo hosted various television programmes throughout his career. He's also an enthusiastic fisherman, hoping one day the fish will acknowledge his authority to "rule over the fish in the sea" (Gen 1:26).
