It all started with a few snarky social media posts. Before long, it ballooned into an obsession to entertain and amuse readers with a daily dose of sarcasm, outrageousness and commentary. Eventually, I found an enthusiastic and loyal following who urged me to turn my musings into a book, or maybe a blockbuster summer movie starring Ryan Gosling, who some say looks a lot like me. Still others urged me to seek professional counseling. The musings are organized into 9 chapters with content familiar to anyone trying to make sense of a changing world, including the Pursuit of happiness, Getting older, the way things should be and more. What you won't read, are my opinions about the red/blue divide, though I was tempted. I hope you'll recognize something of yourself in my musings, even if that something is your darkest and most deeply-held secret. To sum up; Unfiltered Consciousness is a PG-rated casual read, ideal for eliciting laughter on airplanes, on the beach, in waiting rooms, college dorms, prison cells, while sitting on the toilet (where it sure beats reading about the ingredients in the Lysol can) or anywhere else you find yourself needing a diversionary pick-me-up. It's been written that this book is the definitive commentary on human experience. While I am humbled and flattered by that praise, I'm really just hoping to make you laugh.
