In a world that often demands unwavering faith, Carson Cawthon Matthews dares to chronicle her raw, intimate journey through doubt and devotion. Diagnosed with severe OCD at fourteen, Matthews found herself trapped in a labyrinth of intrusive thoughts that threatened to sever her relationship with God. Yet in the depths of her struggle, she discovered an unexpected truth: uncertainty is an integral part of any faith journey.
Uncertain Saints is a collection of poems and prayers for anyone who has felt relegated to the fringes of faith. With unflinching honesty and grace, Matthews transforms her years of wrestling with God into poems that embrace the full spectrum of belief--from questioning to conviction, from grief to wonder. This is writing for the wonderers and wanderers, for those who live in the space between certainty and searching. Her message rings clear: God's presence persists not in spite of our doubts, but within them.
