Unbroken: From Bullied to Boardroom tells Ron Cox's powerful true story-rising from trauma, depression, and failure, to success, guided by his grandfather's words and his own relentless drive to build a better life.
As a young boy, Ron knew little but upheaval. Born in the midst of the 1960s and 70s, his naive mind endured an era of social change, civil unrest, and personal chaos.
After his (known to him) father went to war and his mother remarried, Ron and his siblings had a new father to contend with-whose drinking turned to violence and whose name still sparks anxiety in the author almost five decades later.
High school came with its own set of challenges. However, slivers of light began to cut through the darkness-enough to illuminate a gleam of hope for a life worth living.
Ron's grandfather, a World War II veteran and the very definition of strength, became Ron's inspiration and model for what a man should be. From him, Ron learned that living life with a battlefield-decision mentality can adjust your perspective.
Travel through Ron's life as he recounts the darkness, fear, and confusion that brought him to his knees and the light, hope, and Rock that helped him stand again.
Unbroken is the penultimate book for young men and women navigating challenges in life. It's a story of survival, hope, and faith that illustrates how hard work, perseverance, and belief can carry you through the worst moments of your life.
