A simple meeting in a dark alley is the last thing that Gladys expects. It is also the last thing she will do for the rest of her life. Who would suspect that Gladys, this mousy, quiet woman, would be the start of the longest and most involved investigations our Chief of Detectives, Justine Steele will encounter. Not just dead and not just another story of love gone wrong in the Streets of NYC but the story of lies and love twisted up in the world of high priced international weapons deals; the theft of dangerous chemical weapons documents: Mafia ties and government agencies.
