Two Feet on Bean Point

It was Mark's, Erica's and Kate's turn to hide and Junior's turn to seek. The only place to hide on Bean Point is amongst the sea oat covered sand dunes. Mark took off in one different direction while Erica and Kate took off running together in a different direction as fast as their legs could move them on the loose, powdery beach sand. Their running progress was slow as they made their way between three of the sand dunes near the walkway entrance from North Shore Drive to Bean Point. Erica, who was in front of Kate, stumbled over something laying on the sand and she fell. When Erica looked up from where she fell, she saw two mangled feet not attached to a body lying on the sand. Kate, who was standing next to Erica now, also saw the two mangled feet and both girls screamed at the same time. But no one can hear their screams over the loud squawking of the seagulls who took flight when the two girls startled them. Kate grabbed Erica by the hand to help her up and away from the two mangled feet.
