In Truth Over Trends: Why DEI and Far-Left Policies Have No Place in the Church
In "Truth Over Trends," Elias Shepherd presents a compelling and unyielding message to the modern church, addressing the infiltration of secular ideologies such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and far-left policies into Christian spaces. As these ideologies gain traction within congregations, churches are confronted with a critical decision: remain steadfast in biblical truth or succumb to the pressures of cultural trends. This booklet serves as a wake-up call, urging Christians to evaluate how these secular influences align with the teachings of the King James Version (KJV) Bible and the core message of the gospel.
The Infiltration of Secular Ideologies
The modern church is not immune to the broader cultural shifts happening in society. DEI initiatives and far-left policies, which emphasize identity politics and social justice, have made their way into Christian spaces. While these ideologies may appear to promote noble causes such as equality and fairness, Shepherd argues that they often contradict the foundational principles of the Christian faith. The KJV Bible, revered for its historical significance and linguistic precision, offers a timeless framework for understanding God's will and the path to salvation. When secular ideologies are introduced, they can dilute the gospel message and lead congregations astray from the teachings of Christ.
The Contradiction with Biblical Truth
Shepherd meticulously examines how DEI and far-left policies conflict with biblical teachings. The Bible emphasizes the inherent value of every individual as created in the image of God, but it does not support the divisive categorizations promoted by identity politics. Instead, Scripture calls for unity in Christ, where all believers are equal before God, regardless of their earthly identities. DEI initiatives, while aiming to address inequities, can inadvertently foster division and resentment, contrary to the biblical vision of unity and love.
Moreover, far-left policies often advocate for moral relativism and the redefinition of traditional values, which clash with the absolute moral standards set forth in the Bible. Shepherd contends that embracing these policies can lead churches to compromise their stance on critical issues, such as the sanctity of life and marriage, thereby undermining their witness to the world.
The Urgent Choice for Churches
Faced with the encroachment of secular ideologies, churches must make a decisive choice. Shepherd urges them to stand firm on biblical truth, resisting the temptation to conform to cultural trends. This stance requires courage and conviction, as it may invite criticism and opposition from those who advocate for progressive change. However, Shepherd reminds readers that the church's primary allegiance is to God and His Word, not to the ever-shifting norms of society.
