TransparentSEE: How I learned to SEE through My Journey as a Parent of a Transgender Kiddo is a memoir of inner awakening and outer transformation told through the author's experience of parenting a transgender child. Weaving metaphor, memory, and spiritual inquiry, this book explores how one mother learns to see differently: her child, her past, her faith, and ultimately, herself. Each chapter builds on a "trans" word that metaphorically mirrors the author's evolving understanding, offering a thematic journey from inherited belief to embodied truth.
At its core, this book is about releasing fear and control in favor of curiosity, compassion, and love. It's about dismantling binaries, challenging spiritual rigidity, and reclaiming voice and vision. Through storytelling, Meagan offers both a mirror and a lantern-inviting readers to reflect, reconnect, and remember that our most sacred work is to show up fully human, wide-eyed and wide-hearted.
