In the third book of a series, Bo has created a delightful photo-tour, guiding us through history with wonderful vintage and comparative modern photographs. Bo then adds a new twist by combining vintage and present day into a single image. His unique History-Meld images put turn-of-the-century railroads, rustic autos, and weathered buildings, long gone from the scene, back on their original foundations in our modern world. Finally, he weaves his magic into a walking tour of the city's streets and the mountain trails, guiding you through this quaint High Sierra town once bustling with lumberjacks, railroad workers, and immigrants from the four corners of the world. Look on with delight as a steam engine pulls into the station. Discover small steamers plying the waters of Donner Lake, and see intricate rock work from Chinese laborers created a century and a half ago, all made possible in his History- Meld images. With book in hand, you can tour Truckee and the magnificent Donner Summit and reach out and almost touch a little High Sierra history.
