Pig the Pug meets Pete the Cat in this hilarious new series starring a grumpy little toad with a big attitude. From the mind of master humorist Jim Benton!
Tot the Toad is just like every grouchy kid: he doesn't want to clean up after himself, or go to bed, or do his homework. He hates loud noises, new situations, and anything that throws off his routine. And in the first picture book in this new series, he definitely doesn't want to eat what his parents made for dinner! Relatable to picky kids and annoyed parents alike, this contrarian amphibian will turn even the biggest frowns upside down. Jim Benton is known for creating lovably grumpy characters like Catwad, Franny K. Stein, and Jamie Kelly (Dear Dumb Diary). Now he's bringing his trademark humor and hilarious illustration to the picture book space!
Jim Benton is an award-winning author and artist. You may know some of the other things he's made, like It's Happy Bunny, Dear Dumb Diary, Franny K. Stein, Victor Shmud, and more. He's created a TV series, written books, and produced a movie, and he always did everything his parents told him to do. Pretty much. Jim lives in Michigan with his wife and kids and can be found online at jimbenton.com.
