'Tomorrow... is Another Trial' is a powerful blend of family history and a gentle account of events to honour two generations of remarkable women. The author details the trials and tribulations in her mother's challenging and ultimately triumphant journey from childhood in China and Macao to adulthood in Hong Kong. The strength and determination of the author's grandmother provided the foundation for the young matriarch's rise and fall, and further fall before finding love and salvation. The incredible adversity she endures is both heart wrenching and in some ways quite a clinical look back at what was an unthinkable road to travel for a genteel Asian woman through the sweep of China's violent upheavals after the turn of the 20th century.
Endorsement by Robert Lewis Galinsky IMDB, acclaimed screenwriter and film producer of Prey, Dreamtime's Over (2009), The Bodhi Tree (2015), Dust and Glory says of 'Tomorrow... is Another Trail': 'Phoebe Sayers... has taken a century of milestones and beautifully and painstakingly collected and woven them into a story of heartbreak, determination, and historical imagery we won't put down, and will never forget.'
