Erlene Johnson shares the sweet moments of innocent laughter that only children can bring to routine lives. The reader sees life through the untainted eyes of childhood girlfriends. The unpredictable is just barely around the corner-right next to the unthinkable. This is a great novel that will take you back to your own childhood and all its happy loves and memories. When children come into the world, they are not necessarily easy to cope with. Some are more difficult than others. They can cause a lot of heartache, but we keep loving them, Johnson says. Five-year-old Tillie Swensen, a mischievous, adventurous, little tomboy causes havoc in the community, dearly testing the patience of her mother’s love.
