Has your same-sex attraction/relationship and your covenant with Christ become a struggle between your heart and your head? Have you found the Church to be of little help as she seems as confused as you are? Whose truth do you seek in the world's ever-changing social opinion?
In Thy Will Be Done, author Jen Shepherd narrates her story of being Christian and gay, telling about her search for answers and coming to terms with her reality. In a time of shallow thinking and even more shallow understandings of what it means to be Christian, her story reminds all of the Holy Spirit's work and power to call people to God in every generation and out of every setting.
Shepherd offers insight and perspective into a difficult and complicated topic. She provides food for thought for anyone, gay or straight, Christian or not, who's been trying to put a square peg in a round hole and wondering what the problem is-what's missing-and what you might do differently In Thy Will Be Done, her willingness to pour out her questions, her joys, her battles, and ultimately, her surrender, as she invites the reader to come alongside and struggle honestly, will resonate with anyone who has ever had to wrestle with God and come away changed.
