When two girls go missing in the Montana mountains, the unforgiving wilderness might not be the only threat to their safety. Alyssa Wyatt and her squad must find them in the dangerous woods, before time runs out...
They're lost in the woods... but who is watching from the shadows?
When 15-year-old Brynn Hagen and her five-year-old sister Eveleigh vanish from their uncle's house in Montana, it doesn't take long for the trail to run cold.
Enter Detective Alyssa Wyatt of the Albuquerque PD, who, along with her partner, Cord Roberts, head to Montana, where they join forces with FBI Special Agent Ryker Newlin to investigate the devastating disappearance.
But Alyssa is quickly thrown into a case shrouded in secrecy. Why did the Hagens take three days to report the girls missing? Did Brynn and Eveleigh's senator father value his political reputation more than the girls' lives?
While Alyssa wades through decades of lies and buried scandals, the children are running out of time. Deep in the unforgiving mountains, stalked by a ruthless hunter who knows exactly who they are, Brynn must fight to keep her and her sister alive.
An isolated cabin appears to be a lifeline – until Brynn begins to suspect the owner is concealing his own sinister secrets. But is he a saviour or an enemy? Trusting the wrong person might prove fatal…
