Thoughtful Devotions: Deuteronomy

Deuteronomy, a second retelling of the laws of God. As Moses stood with the Israelites on the bank of the Jordan River, he reminded the people of the many laws. These laws were not arbitrary or the work of a cruel God trying to enslave His people. Rather, they were protection and guidance. They were a display of love from God to His peculiar people.
