this is the last time is a raw and evocative collection of words and confusions, memories and fleeting thoughts. In this debut, Chris Taylor lays bare the cycle of self-destruction, charting the moments of hearing what needed to change and spilling every mistake onto the page. It's a declaration of finality: the last time we hide, the last time we regret.
Drawing inspiration from the haunting brilliance of Sylvia Plath, the introspection of Emily Dickinson, and the contemporary resonance of Rupi Kaur, Taylor's first collection delves into the past, grapples with the future, and wrestles with fears. Through vivid explorations of anxiety, emotion, and pain, this is the last time offers an unflinching look at the complexities of being and becoming.
