Thirteenth Door

With the help of Ezra Blake, a blind archivist with uncanny perception, Alice deciphers Edmund's research while evading Daniel Keller, a rival scholar with sinister intentions.
Alice eventually locates the Thirteenth Door using Edmund's modified Claude glass and discovers the Repository of Corrections-a chamber containing historical truths that have been suppressed or altered. She learns that Keller belongs to the Hermetic Order of Historical Preservation, which has controlled the Repository for centuries to manipulate historical narratives.
In a final confrontation, Alice uses Edmund's device to restore the Repository's original purpose: preserving historical truth rather than controlling it. Keller vanishes, and Alice becomes the first of a new circle of thirteen scholarly guardians who will protect the Repository and gradually allow suppressed truths to re-emerge.
