About

Set in 1984, this the story of Reiner, a young gay German man who decides to travel from Cairo to Cape Town in Africa after a tragedy back home in (then West) Germany. This story focuses on his train ride on top of a train from Khartoum to the city of Wau in Sudan. He is accompanied by an orphaned African boy, and meets a young Sudanese Captain, and they share a powerful romance. There is brief explicit erotica necessary to introduce their affection, but the focus is on their romance in the harsh reality of Sudan ruled by Islamic law. The history and culture of Sudan in intertwined with Reiner's travels, with the reality of life in 1984 Sudan: Death by lion and warfare. Readers should also be warned of an attempted rape of Reiner: the violent outcome is graphically detailed, but necessary to tell the story.Above all, it is a tale of adventure. The author promises you this is a gay romance unlike anything you have read before.
