Many people talk about the 1960's as being an age of enlightenment, but it turned out to be an age of experimentation with the use or mis-use of psychedelic drugs such as LSD. During this time many were expirimenting with these drugs thinking that they were a way to reach enlightenment.In general, this time was undoubtedly, a time of searching for truth and many people came up with various books on the 'Age of Aquarius' the so called age of enlightenment..There were pop songs written about it and many books and films such as 2001 a space odyssey, which was billed at the time as 'The Ultimate trip', yet some people thought that it was more like the 'The Ultimae tripe'.As the decade came to a close and a new one began, the '60's' turned out for most people to be a damp squid or a big nothing, no enlightenment, just a whole group of young people, having a great time, stoned out and looking for free sex.But one thing stood out in the 60's era, most people were genuinly searching;looking for the answer, what is life for, how shall we live it and what is the meaning of life.As we moved into the 21st century, the searching was absent, now people were not searching for the meaning of life, most people were expecting fame and fortune and becoming despondent when it did not happen, older people were at first horrified by the apparent downward slide in morality, but then they decided to become the silent majority and just go along with whatever was happening as the decade progressed downward.But many other people were still wanting charting a course for the 'happy life', how to be succesful and wealthy. Money became the key for many to achieve success, wealth and happiness.Today, many are still looking for the way to be succesful in life, for young people the way is fame and fortune as a star on social media platforms, for others it is to gain riches and wealth, for others it is a successful career, for some it is politics, for some it is a happy family, for others it is crime, drugs, prostitution and on and on,But what is the 'meaning of life' are we here for a purpose? or are we just a blob on a log waiting our life out in the best way we can, because we are being told that there is nothing after life, just a blank nothing.Then in 1999 just before the turn of the century, a film trilogy was launched with an intriguing theme, that life as we perceive it was all a Matrix of unreality, which lay on the surface of a hidden reality, 'the rabbit hole'This ebook takes the theme of the Matrix trilogy and asks the question, was this theme in any way prophetic of the world we live in today?
