The Visitors

From the author of The Whispers comes a heartrending tale of friendship and hard-won truths as a young ghost works to uncover the dark secret that led to his mysterious death.

Dying at Timber Hill is easy. It's the being stuck there that's hard. At least, that's according to the eleven-year-old ghost who hasn't left Timber Hill Plantation since the day he mysteriously died. Things don't change much at Timber Hill and time is funny once you're dead. But when Timber Hill gets visitors for the first time in a long while, things feel different. These visitors are kids like him, and they seem to understand more than others-that this plantation is not just spooky or eerie, it's sad. And if these kids could understand the truth about Timber Hill, maybe they could help him figure out the truth about his death and help him move on. Now he just needs to find a way to get them to stay.

But Timber Hill doesn't like visitors. And that's all there is to say about that. Born and raised in the South Carolina Lowcountry, Greg Howard's love of words and story blossomed at a young age. Originally set on becoming a famous songwriter and following that dream to the bright lights of Nashville, Tennessee, Greg spent years producing the music of others before eventually returning to his childhood passion of writing stories. Greg writes young adult and middle grade novels focusing on LGBTQ characters and issues. He has an unhealthy obsession with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and currently resides in Nashville with his three rescued fur babies--Molly, Toby, and Riley.
