About

In the deepest, scariest part of the Dark Forest, a girl turtle lives alone. She wanders and forages by herself-until one day when she meets a lonely boy turtle. They feel safe together, so they decide to be friends and protect each other. Then they fall in love and have three turtle babies.

But over time, the shadow of the Dark Forest changes the turtles. They argue and grow frustrated and bump their shells. Then one day the girl turtle hides away. The boy turtle doesn't understand what is happening, so he sets out to find answers from the Stones of Wisdom. It will be a long, hard journey, but soon he will discover that his family is about to face a big change. Now he must try to be strong and do his best to help the girl turtle and their three turtle babies.

Intended for parents and children alike, this story offers a gentle way of discussing the issues surrounding family separation through the tale of a family of turtles.
