The bestselling international sensation, coming soon to Netflix, now in English for the first time-a dark, sexy, haunting novel of two very damaged teens who are taken in by the same foster family and forced to reckon with a destructive love that could be both of their undoings.
Growing up in a rural group home in Alabama, Nica's imagination burned with fantastical stories-especially about the Tearsmith, the man who is the maker of tears and who crafts all the fears that dwell in people's hearts.
When she's adopted at seventeen, Nica thinks she's leaving the home, and her world of otherworldly tales, behind her. That is, until Rigel, as mesmerizingly handsome as he is troubled, joins the family.
Despite Nica's initial friction with him, it isn't long before their shared hardships spark something magical between them and Nica starts to fall for his forbidden love.
But before their fantasies for a brighter future can become reality, they'll have to face the darkness of their past...
