About
Some houses have secrets. The Stoneway holds memories.
When Gabbie discovers a hidden way into the past of Stoneway House, she is drawn into the lives of those who came before her.
She finds herself beside a lonely evacuee from London and, further back, a family caught in the shadow of a militia ballot. As she journeys deeper into the past, she meets a prosperous clothier facing difficult choices in uncertain times, and a farming family whose livelihood is threatened by forces beyond their control.
Her final journey brings her to a young man in desperate need of help. She discovers that she is more than a witness to the past. Her choices affect the lives of those around her-and the survival of the Stoneway.
Inspired by the history of a medieval Wealden hall house, The Stoneway tells the story of one place and the ordinary people who shaped it.
