Comedian Troy Nyx was on the edge of success. Worldwide streaming services were offering millions for each of his streaming comedy specials. Soon came special guest appearances on "ripped from the headlines" police investigation dramas. And suddenly Troy was dating a member of the uber beautiful Amusé clan of social media influencers. But one night, just as he takes the stage, a shot rings out, and suddenly, tragically (not comically), Troy Nyx is nixed.
Enter private investigator Duncan Godley and her boyfriend-partner, criminal psychologist Jackson Russell, hired by the family fixer to find the killer. But when the duo find the dead comic wasn't exactly the guy the public believed he was, what they uncover is an undercurrent of unbridled ambition, deepening lies, and enough criminal suspects to fill a national political party.
The Standup Who Got Shot Down is the second book in the Duncan Godley Mystery series.
