When a mysterious light and humming noise disturb her sleep, a curious young girl follows the sound to discover her mother sewing face masks late at night. She learns that essential workers-and everyone commuting to work-must now wear masks.
Despite her initial hesitation, the young girl chooses a colorful handmade mask and, inspired by her mother's dedication, asks to learn how to sew one herself. Her goal? To create a mask for her grandfather, a frontline hospital worker. The emotional hug they share when he returns home is a moment of hope and gratitude during uncertain times.
This gentle and inspiring picture book is perfect for children learning about compassion, courage, and community during times of change.
