The Schobrine

What in the world is a Schobrine? Join this family on an exciting guessing game as they try to choose the perfect pet to welcome to their home. We sat and we thought about what we would get, "What in the world would be choose for a pet?" The children come up with all kinds of possibilities and when the Dad suggests that they get a Schobrine, the puzzled children keep guessing until they finally figure out what it is. A donation will be made to the Kids Forever Charity from the sale of each book: www.kidsforever.ca This book was dedicated to my son, Corey Chartrand, who was killed in a car accident at the age of 16 along with his friend Neil Bursey on December 20, 2010. Corey was the passenger in the car and both boys were on their way to go Christmas shopping. They never came home. Corey had a Heart of Gold and was always helping others in any way that he could. After losing Corey, as a grieving Mother, Sheila went into a "preservation mode" and did everything she could to "Keep his Memories Alive." This story is based on true accounts of what actually happened in their home when they were trying to decide on a pet for their family. It is also the first book of a series. These captured precious moments are a way to bring Corey with us and through the sales of these books, Corey still continues to help others. Shortly after losing Corey, John Foy with Kids Forever reached out through their charity and asked if they could donate $ 40,000.00 in Corey and Neil's name to a local hospital through their program " Keeping the Memories Alive." A plaque is proudly displayed in the hospital. Our family was deeply touched by this gesture and are active supporters of this charity.
